All new students participate in courses designed to impart some of the core values of TACF. However, these core value courses may not be taken on their own, but must be part of another SoM module. These courses occur twice a year (September, March).
A practical exploration on hearing God’s voice. This exploration focuses on discerning and clarifying the spontaneous thoughts that come from God. Journaling and vision are key practices refined in this course. The goal is to establish reliable dialogue between God and the disciple.
The revelation of the depth of God’s love for His children has often been missed by the Church. In this class students look more deeply at the Father’s Heart toward his people and at the things which block that revelation from occurring. Ministry into this area is highlighted.
Students will be led to examine areas of their lives where injury has been done to them. They will apply the basic Christian tools for healing and releasing in these areas: repentance, forgiveness, renunciation and deliverance.
A practical course which teaches students how to regularly hear and give prophetic words.
This is weekly period spent with leadership and team members preparing to function together as a team in a foreign country.
The conclusion to SoH 105. The outreach team spends three days together on a “mini-outreach” as a testing period. Then the team spends a month together serving other churches, ministries and various people groups. Typically, this involves such activities as feeding the poor, ministering to children, teaching in schools, leading worship, teaching, preaching, praying for and prophesying over people.
Each student spends time weekly with between 4 and 7 other students being mentored by a staff intern. This time varies in intensity and activity. It focuses on prayer, sharing of life issues, direction (from the mentor) and having times of healthy activity.
A time with John Arnott in exploring Kingdom values learned over productive life of ministry and following of the Holy Spirit. Typical topics covered include: the theology of the Kingdom, physical healing, and the value of dealing with heart issues
Students learn how to hear God’s heart for a person and to exercize that gift to create an openness to the Gospel
Students look at qualities of powerful, effective sharing of the Gospel. Students also learn how to earn the right to be heard.
A practical, hands-on instruction in the methods and theology of physical healing, including insight into the obstacles to health.
The class helps pinpoint students’ areas of inner shame and helps them replace them with the truth. Students practice living a lifestyle of seeing the good in others and speaking it out.
Most Christians feel “run-over” by those who demand their time, money and effort. This class teaches that people have the right to decide when, where and how their time, money and efforts are spent. It also teaches how to deal with manipulation and control by others.
Students will discover how to sense the Holy Spirits’ leading and move with Him in ministry.
A church history course with special emphasis on the factors and values leading to revival. Students also discover the actions and theology that have derailed some of these movements. Application to the present life of the believer is encouraged.
God has moved powerfully in many different times, movements and among various peoples. However, most of those “visitations” and their effects lasted only a short amount of time. This course looks at the values and actions needed to sustain revival and encourage God’s continued, powerful interaction.
Principles of good leadership and the pitfalls of poor leadership.
God speaks to people in many different ways, one of which is through dreams. This course looks at the biblical precedents and principles for this communication through dreams. Students are encouraged to pray for dreams and to evaluate some of their more significant ones.
Since God knows the human heart better than people do, he is also able to pinpoint the difficult areas and to deal with them. This course teaches principles in how to hear God with the purpose of dealing with interior issues that make us limp through life. Students gain practical experience in this during the course.
God has gifted each person with natural and even supernatural gifts to expand his kingdom. This course examines the role of each type of gift and helps students step out in their exercise of these talents.
An extended course examining the character of God, specifically his heart of love and mercy for each person. In the process, students learn about the things which block them from receiving this love and about their own distorted views of God. There is a high prayer ministry component to this course because it is not merely an intellectual issue, but a deep heart issue that can only be addressed supernaturally.
How to live a life that demonstrates God’s supernatural power in natural ways.
Exploring the dynamics of communication for kingdom purposes. Students learn how to teach, tell stories and testimonies as well as develop several sermons
A deep look at the universe and life-changing power of Jesus death on the cross. Topics include: atonement, forgiveness, friendship with God and healing.
Jesus came with the message that the “Kingdom of God is among you”. This course outlines what this good news entails and how to apply it in daily life.

Since SoH is an accelerated, ministry focused time, this short series of talks aims at helping students reintegrate into home and church life. Students learn how to keep on fire without burning up those around them.
This course leads students to examine the basis for their personal and corporate worship. It also expands their practical skills in leading and participating in various forms of worship as the spirit leads them.
A look at the practicalities and growth principles involved with Church Planting.
Jesus said that if you had faith as small as a mustard seed, you could tell a mountain to be cast into the sea. Faith is a key component in a believer’s life and ministry. This course explores the simplicity and complexity of this topic of “faith”.
Money and resources are not only hot topics today, but also made up a significant portion of Jesus' teaching. This course examines popular and key concepts in godly financial stewardship: Should we invest? Is tithing important? The heart behind giving.
The day of the “lone ranger” Christian has given way to the concept of the “body” of believers. But how does the body function? And how do people successfully build teams and empower more than just the pastor to exercize ministry gifts? This course provides practical answers and vision for this biblical concept.

Culture does not always portray healthy ways of relating between the sexes. This course teaches young men and women to enter into relationships with the opposite sex with their values, honour and boundaries intact.
People often find themselves doing things with and for people that they really don’t want to do. This course examines how people gain control over others and and manipulate them to do what they want. It also gives practical steps to breaking the hold of those who manipulate and control others.
This course examines and practices these God-given tools of communication and intervention to build relationship and change lives.
Students evaluate their gifts and talents and learn how to step out in what they were made to do.
In his short ministry life, Jesus encountered spiritual beings who inhabited and controlled unwilling human beings. This course gives some theological grounded to Jesus’ experience and provides practical advice for freeing people from these demonic forces.
As Jesus made disciples, so Christians are supposed to follow his example. This class examines the basis for disciple making and for raising leaders.
A practical course on how to take notes in a non-linear fashion and to effectively organize and memorize material.
Eating Disorders effect a large percentage of people (especially young women). This course reveals the pratices and root causes of such eating disorders and attempts to help people break out of the unhealthy cycles they are in.
